Amateur Radio on the Web.
Ryan N6RYN

This is my part of the "shack" I have a Yaesu FT1000MP for HF and a Yaesu FT847 for six meters, VHF and UHF.

I've just moved from Cub Scouts over to Boy Scouts and I will be working on my merit badges soon. One of them will be for Amateur Radio!

Here I am operating the Jamboree On the Air station at Pacificon. I worked a fellow cub scout in Montana on my first call. That was so much fun!  I am planning to attend Dayton next year!

I was really glad to meet Gordon West, WB6NOA at Pacificon. He was kind enough to autograph my technicians study guide. I am so excited to share amateur radio with my Dad.

Here is a picture of the HF/Teletype room on board the USS Hornet.

I really liked seeing the Captain's bridge of the ship and the Command Center.

Here is the CRC or Command Center.

Hi, I'm Ryan N6RYN. Welcome to my page on the world wide web. I enjoy the hobby of ham radio with my Dad, that is him on my left. I am currently a technician but I plan to continue to study and become a General class at some point. My dad has a great station and I love to "spin the dials".

These are our antennas. We can work the whole world from our QTH.

I'm making my first QSO with Mike-N6JPR from on top of Montgomery hill near our home in San Jose.

Here I'm operating on HF from our Bandon Oregon campsite.

th my Boy Scout troop. We recently went on an overnight trip on the USS Hornet.

Here are some pictures:

Here I am about to board the Hornet. This ship is really big!

My dad pointed out all of the antennas and what they do. These are the HF antennas.

The hanger bay is really big too!

I liked the F14 Tomcat on the deck.

These bombs sure are heavy!
